The art works become property of the Free State of Saxony and are included in the holdings of the Kunstfonds of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. In the Kunstfonds and by the means of the annual purchases, a significant collection of contemporary art has been accumulated since 1992, comprising of all genres of Fine Art, such as paintings, sculptures, graphics, photographs, conceptual art, videos and installations. The Kunstfonds makes the artworks accessible to the public in exhibitions and lends them to museums and public institutions. For the first time, the new acquisitions are presented in the Representation of the Free State of Saxony to the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin.
