The Kunstverein
The art association Kunstverein Freunde Aktueller Kunst (FAK) in Zwickau celebrates its 15th anniversary in March 2013. Since 1998, the association has continuously supported contemporary art with projects and exhibitions. Several exhibitions give proof of this engagement: In 2007, the German magazine “Art” counts the FAK among Germany’s national trend scouts. In 2011, the working committee Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Kunstvereine (ADKV) and the Art Cologne selected the FAK as the best young art association in Germany. In Zwickau, the FAK that has exhibited in new premises in the Hölderlinstraße since 2012 is by far the largest art and culture association. With its numerous members, it is one of the largest art associations of the eastern German states.
